The TNH Coffee Team
A small cup with a big community impact
At Thomastown Neighbourhood House, the Coffee Team is about much more than coffee.
It is a place of connection — where conversations begin, friendships grow, and people feel welcomed into community life.
Whether supporting community programs, special events, training opportunities, or social gatherings, the Coffee Team helps create warm, welcoming spaces where everyone belongs.

About the Coffee Van
The TNH Coffee Team is a community social enterprise that supports connection, inclusion, and participation across Thomastown and surrounding communities.

It provides opportunities for:
-
Community engagement
-
Skill development and informal training
-
Social connection through shared experiences
-
Meaningful participation opportunities
-
Creating welcoming spaces at community events

Every coffee served helps support the wider work of Thomastown Neighbourhood House.

The TNH Community Coffee Van was supported by a SCULLIN STRONGER COMMUNITY GRANT in 2025. This valuable funding enabled TNH to purchase and fit out the Van for the benefit of the Volunteers who run it.

A place for skills & growth
The Coffee Team plays an important role in supporting learning, confidence, and personal development.
Through community programs and partnerships, participants may have opportunities to:
-
Build confidence in customer service
-
Learn hospitality and workplace skills
-
Participate in supported volunteering
-
Develop social connection and routine
-
Gain experience in a real community environment

For many people, it provides a gentle pathway into greater community participation, volunteering, or future employment opportunities.
